The homeowners wanted their home to reflect their lifestyle, so each and every selection and finish is unique and represents the highest levels of quality. Custom hand-built cabinetry is part of virtually every room in the home, from the kitchen, to the baths, the wine cellar, and even the closets. Rocky Mountain hardware is used throughout the home on all doors and cabinetry. The chestnut floors that flow throughout the home were milled out of reclaimed old barn wood. Barn beams and doors were also custom made to achieve a farmhouse style design. Every room of this home reflects quality workmanship, top of the line finishes, and offers a lifestyle one would expect to find in a Greenspring Valley luxury estate home.
Well into the construction process, the homeowners decided they needed additional space. So, a completely new master wing was designed. The idea for this space was to create a private
and separate area where mom or dad could retreat or even venture downstairs to the fitness center. The master wing concept was rather large and would need to integrate with the existing architecture and construction schedule.
This required a substantial amount of grading and foundation work, at a time in the project, when the rest of the structure was in a completely different phase of construction. In addition, a
three-car detached garage was added which required additional
zoning and permitting considerations.
Due to the significant lag time in between the main house and the new additions, the construction schedule had to be simultaneously managed. In addition, since a large amount of the homeowner selections were special order items, lead times presented some hurdles to overcome. Despite all of these challenges, the project was completed and delivered to the customer with all of their desired changes, in a timely manner.
